The Freerider rear hub electric motor is a motor originally designed for engaged electric mountain biking: Enduro and Freeride.
It will also be a good choice for cyclists over 85Kg, cargo bikes, tandems or any other practice or profile requiring a high stress on the engine.
Many parts have been reinforced to withstand vibrations and knocks.
This motor incorporates an internal freewheel which allows it to be completely disengaged when it is not powered. In short, you pedal like on a normal bike when you are not using the assistance and as soon as the need arises, you activate the assistance to engage the motor ... and you have the impression of flying over field. The exceptional torque of the Freerider motor will push you to the highest point of any mountain.
As on the majority of OZO engines, this engine has a temperature sensor to ensure optimal operation even under heavy stress.
Although this engine was originally developed for the specific needs of mountain biking, it remains very versatile for those who want a bike to do everything, both at ease off-road and on daily trips, freight transport, tandems ...
The integrated cassette holder will allow you to retrieve the original cassette from your bike and mount it directly on the engine.
The Freerider motor is equipped with a cassette body compatible with Shimano and Sram 9 and 10 speed cassettes. Shimano 11 speed cassettes (XT / SLX) are compatible on this engine. If your bike is equipped with a 7 or 8 speed cassette, you will need to add cassette spacers.
The motor is supplied with lock washers which will allow you to center your wheel in your frame.
6x holes disc standard
You will receive a complete drive wheel. The assembly of the engine on the rim is developed in our workshop in Aix-en-Provence by passionate technicians. The spokes used for the manufacture of your wheel are stainless steel 2.3mm in diameter, 36 spokes per wheel to ensure the reliability of the assembly despite the torque of the engine.
This French freeride rim and shelving in our workshop will allow you to obtain foolproof reliability.
The wheels that we use in the workshop are carefully checked before shipment: spoke tension, centering, runout and runout.
