Thanks to additional information which will be requested from you later, OZO will determine the most suitable pedal sensor for your bike. If you know the model you need, do not hesitate to tell us "in comment" when ordering. The pedal sensor is used to trigger the assistance of your electric motor motor. This sensor will make it much easier to use your e-bike, allowing you to harness its full power when you need it.

The pedal sensor (NOT in English for Pedal Assist System) automatically triggers the electric assistance from the first turn of the pedals. As long as you pedal, the motor assists you. When you stop pedaling, the engine shuts off. There are several models of pedal sensors. The choice of the model suitable for your bike will be made by OZO upon receipt of your order. |

1.MAGNETIC WASHER CRANKSET SENSORThe principle is simple, we position the magnetic washer around the axis of the crankset (locking on the axis or fixing on the plate) and the sensor opposite, so that the magnets of the washer pass just in front of the sensor. when pedaling (diagram below). The sensor is connected to the controller. When a magnet passes the sensor, it sends a signal to the controller asking it to crank the motor. The higher the pedaling cadence, the more power or speed the controller will send to the motor. There are 6 and 12 magnet washers. The number of magnets will have an impact on the response time of the motor. The more magnets there are, the better the engine will react to starting or stopping. 2. INTEGRATED CRANKSET SENSORThe built-in sensor is easier to install on the bike, as long as the bike has the architecture to install it. It sits on the bottom bracket axle. Its principle is similar to that of a bearing. Its inner ring, mounted tight on the crank axle, will rotate at the speed of the user and its outer ring, fixed to the frame and connected to the controller, will send information to the motor. The operation is the same as for the magnetic washer. The higher the pedaling cadence, the more power or speed the controller will send to the motor. |
