These controllers will allow you to repair at a good price any electric bicycle equipped with a 250W wheel motor. These controllers work in sensorless and sensored mode which will allow you to operate a motor that has a problem with Hall sensors (HS sensor or wire cut).
To simplify the installation, we suggest that you use only the sensorless mode (only 3 wires to connect instead of 8).

These controllers can be used only with an accelerator or only with a pedal sensor or with the two systems in parallel.

You can choose the optional handlebar control box which will allow you to have three progressive power modes, a range gauge and a 6km / h button. This handlebar box is interesting for those who want to use a V7 digital pedal sensor but is not essential for use with an accelerator or a V5 analog pedal sensor.

This generic controller will come in place of your original controller. Note that you will not be able to reuse the box on the original handlebars of your VAE. If you want to use a box on the handlebars to have several modes of assistance, you will have to choose the box adapted to the generic controller and the voltage of your battery.

If you only need an indication of how much power is left in your bike battery, you can choose only the range gauge instead of the full box.

Why choose the "box on the handlebars" option?
This box allows you to choose three different assistance modes: weak, medium and strong.
It incorporates an LED battery life gauge that lets you know how much energy is left in your battery.
It has a 6km / h mode (pedestrian mode) allowing you to drive up to 6km / h without pedaling.
This case is especially interesting for those who use a pedal sensor. If you use an accelerator, you can do without this box.

My eBike is equipped with a pedal sensor. Can I use the generic controller with this sensor? The generic controller can be used with the V5 and V7 pedal sensors.

Pedal sensor or accelerator?
The accelerator allows you to dose the assistance yourself according to the effort you want to provide.
With an accelerator, you can use your bike in different ways:
You can pedal without touching the accelerator and therefore without assistance.
You can pedal and turn the accelerator more or less to have the level of assistance corresponding to the effort you want to provide.
You can use the accelerator without pedaling and use your bike like a scooter.

The pedal sensor is a rotation sensor. You have to pedal to get assistance and you cannot precisely dose the desired level of assistance since this level is determined by a law of assistance specific to the controller and the chosen assistance mode.
Whether your bike is equipped with an accelerator or a pedal sensor, you can turn off the system and ride your bike without assistance.
