By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar panels (PV), MPPT ensures that every available particle of energy from your panels is recovered for storage. The advantage of this technology is particularly appreciated when the sky is partly cloudy, and the intensity of the light is constantly changing.
Monitoring and remote control
Remotely control and monitor the multiple features of your SmartSolar MPPT charger using the built-in Bluetooth feature by pairing it with your smartphone or any other device through VictronConnect. If your facility is connected to the Internet with a GX device, the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM) allows you to access the full power of your MPPT anytime, anywhere, with both services—VictronConnect and the VRM portal—free. For remote installations, even when no Internet connection is available nearby, you can monitor your MPPT using the GlobalLink 520.
Load output
The intelligent charge output function avoids the risk of damage caused by the use of "flat" batteries. You can set the voltage at which the BlueSolar will disconnect a charge if necessary — preventing excessive pull on your batteries. And here’s the most interesting: SmartSolar will try to achieve a 100% recharge every day. If this is not possible—for example, during periods of bad weather—it will increase the disconnection voltage on a daily basis until full recharge. We call this BatteryLife function because it keeps your battery in good condition and extends its service life.
