ADVANTAGES OF THE SOLEX 36V 250W KIT


The Solex 250W front wheel kit will allow you to quickly electrify your solex to make it hybrid. The electric motor front wheel is delivered on a real Solex rim and will allow you to start the internal combustion engine without effort and to double the torque of your Solex in the climbs.

This kit meets all the VAE criteria : 250W and 25Km/h, that is to say that the 250W electric motor will help up to a speed of 25Km/h. Beyond that it will not be used anymore and will be automatically disengaged when going downhill.

With a weight of only 2.5Kg, it will be totally forgotten on the solex.

La roue libre interne, permet un débrayage du moteur lorsqu'il n'est pas alimenté. Le moteur électrique est débrayé et ne freine pas lors du roulage en thermique.

Once the assistance engaged, the maximum torque is 40N.m

We suggest you to choose different 36V batteries according to the desired autonomy. For example, a 500Wh battery will offer two hours of autonomy at full power and a 1000Wh battery, 4 hours...

THE SOLEX WHEEL MOTOR 250W

The "Bobber 250W" motor  is a reduced motor with a reinforced epicyclic train and internal freewheel. This allows you to have a lot of torque and a great facility with the pedalling since the engine is completely disengaged when it is not fed... You pedal like on a traditional bike without the motor braking you.

The "Bobber 250W" motor is supplied with washers that will allow you to center the wheel in your frame. It can be installed on all traditional frames equipped with a front axle in 100mm of center distance.

You will be able to screw your brake disc to the standard 6 holes on the motor.

With your kit you receive a complete drive wheel. The drive wheel is carefully spoked in our workshop on an original Solex rim by enthusiasts: spoke tension, centering, sail and false round, everything is checked before shipping.

The 36 spokes are in stainless steel of 2,3mm diameter, made in France.


THE 15A CONTROLLER AND ITS HARNESS

The 15A 250W controller is the brain of the electric kit. It is a small electronic box that can be installed under the luggage rack, or in the box provided with it that is intended to be fixed on the frame.

PVC BATTERIES

It will be necessary to supply your Solex kit with a 36V battery. Toutes les batteries 36V de notre catalogue sont compatibles avec ce moteur.

The choice of the capacity of the battery will have to be made according to the autonomy which you wish. For example, a 500Wh battery, will offer you approximately 50Km of autonomy without forcing on the Solex and until 100Km according to your effort. A 1000Wh battery, will give you the double of autonomy.

The second criterion to take into account for the choice of the battery will be to know where you want to install the battery on your solex. For that we propose the "PVC" batteries.

The "PVC" battery does not have a fairing and will therefore be lighter and cheaper but you will have to install it in saddlebags or a backpack to ensure its protection.

THE THROTTLE

The throttle offers the ability to control the motor without pedaling.

In the form of a thumb trigger, the throttle can be installed on the right or left side of the handlebars.

THE TORQUE ARM

The torque arm is a laser-cut stainless steel part that prevents the drive wheel nuts from loosening so as not to damage the frame of your bike.

The torque arm is essential with the Solex kit.

IS THIS ENGINE COMPATIBLE WITH MY SOLEX ?

The Solex wheel kit is compatible with all bikes equipped with a 9x100mm or 10x100mm front wheel axis.

To be sure that the installation is possible on your bike, you must verify that you have a traditional open frame with a 100mm center distance.

With a ruler, measure the inside width of your frame (value A). You must have at least 100mm (10cm).

Then measure the frame notches (B value). You should have 9 or 10mm.
